I know how hard it is to strictly follow a diet and a training program - believe me, I know...
The idea that you have to eat something because it is the "right food" instead of not caring what you eat is sometimes crushing and limiting.
I am sure that when you hear the words "regime" and "diet", unpleasant associations emerge in your mind. The forbidden fruit is always the sweetest!
It's hard to watch all your friends eating chocolates, fries and other delicious things in front of you, and at the same time you have to eat eggs and vegetables ... On top of that you blame yourself that you have allowed your body to reach this state?
Well, I have something to tell you...
No Problem. Your Efforts Are NOT in Vain!
When you eat well and work out, not only you make your body a good place to live, embellish yourself and become attractive to others, but you also become disciplined.
Healthy eating builds habits, even characters, makes you serious, responsible and executive people. Believe me, one day your body will thank you for all your efforts.
And don’t think others are more favored by you because they are not on a diet. The fact that people around you eat without anything sticking on them is worse for them because they continue to poison their bodies without visible external indicators for it. But one day all this harmful food will affect their body, one way or another.
Each of us wants to wake up the next morning after the first workout and have the perfect abs... But that's not the reality. And believe me, if it was, it wouldn’t be so nice or interesting! Because the time spent in the gym can also be motivating.
Keep on Going! I’m Fead Serious – KEEP ON GOING!
There is no greater feeling than reaching your goal, turning back and saying, "I succeeded! I can!”
When you see the result in the mirror, you will understand that all your efforts and hard days are worth it because you’ve won the biggest battle - the battle with yourself.
Whatever words I use, I won’t be able to describe the delight you’ll experience at the finish, and then you will be more motivated than ever - for everything!
And since this is not an easy road to follow, I want to tell everyone on it: you have my biggest BRAVO - keep on fighting, you can!
Once you've begun – you’re halfway there, you just have to be persistent and never give up. The rest of the way is the mental attitude, and I will help you shape it with this article.
And to those of you, who haven’t found the courage and motivation to start yet, I will say: It is never too late, every new day is a new beginning and there is always time to become the best version of yourself.
Tired of Starting All Over Again? Then Stop Giving Up in the First Place!
It will not be easy, it will take time. Choose the right diet and just be patient. You will be amazed what your body is capable of doing. Because…
"Our body is the only place we have to live until the end of our days."
You are as strong as your mind is. One day you will achieve your goal, believe me! Just be patient and keep working on yourself. Nothing worth having comes easy.
Still, remember that weight is just a number. What is really important is how you feel and whether you enjoy yourself.
To all of you who have taken this road, I want to give 9 valuable tips that will make your voyage easier
1. Keep Track of Your Progress
Not with scales, of course! If you want to stay motivated, you need to give yourself a reason to continue training and eating healthy – circumference and body fat percentage measurements are the spark that will keep your fire burning! Use a tape measure and measure your waist and hips or take “before/after” photos. Believe me, it’s a hell of a motivation!
2. Set Specific Goals Ahead of You
Saying you want to look good is not enough - you have to make it a goal, and with many sub-goals. When you achieve one of your small goals, it will give you the motivation to continue to the next. Learn how to set goals and do it!
"I want to lose weight and gain more muscle mass" - this is not a goal, it is a desire. On the other hand, if you say, "I want to lose 10 pounds of fat and get 3 pounds of lean muscle mass within the next 6 months" - this is a specific and clear goal to pursue.
3. Start Reading Books and Inspiring Quotes
It may sound naive, but in the moments when your will has left you, the right words can affect you a lot. They inspire and motivate with enormous power, it is no coincidence that they are the biggest trump card of marketing professionals.
4. Stop Weighing Yourself Everyday
This tension kills the meaning of your undertaking. Don’t torment yourselves and accept that you have started a new, better and healthier way of life. The results will come to you.
5. Surround Yourself with People Who Work Out
The people around you heavily influence your behavior and actions. Motivation is contagious! Your life is almost merged with your friends’ - it can be a good or bad thing, depending on who you run around with
Fitness enthusiasts who run around together motivate each other and make better decisions about what to eat and what activities to do. So find at least one such friend and help each other to be the best version of yourselves!
6. Give Yourself Permission to Rest 1-2 Days per Week
Some people start with so much motivation that they overload themselves too early. If you do not give your body time to rest, you won’t recover well and will constantly feel weakness and muscle fever.
Over-motivation is an enemy! It is great that you are excited, but your body needs to adapt to the stress of the workouts. The lack of recovery time is the greatest mental and physical exhauster. Your muscles grow when you rest, not when you exercise.
7. Prep Your Food in Advance for the Days Ahead
The thought of cooking 5 meals a day demotivates and deviates you from the road to your goal? I will give you an extremely useful advice that works for my clients with similar problems - cook your food in advance. This rule is a huge step in the right direction.
I personally like to cook my food on the weekend, when I have more time. Then I distribute the portions in food boxes and put them in the fridge. This way, I am confident that in the days coming I will have easy access to food at all times.
8. Include Refeed Days in Your Diet
Being in shape doesn’t mean constantly depriving yourself of everything! The idea that you have to cross out any tasty food you've ever loved is enough to make even the most motivated fitness enthusiast to give up.
Cheat days work very well at the psychological level - it's much easier to stick to your diet when you know you'll soon get a "mini break" from it. Success comes through balance!
9. Ask Yourself Why Do You Want to Lose Weight?
Remember why you started in the first place. What was the spark that inflamed your desire to get in shape? It is easy to stray from the road when you feel bad, but remember that once you start to win against yourself, your progress is guaranteed!
